The Ticket to Democracy program is designed to help educate the general public on the democratic process by providing businesses, organizations and nonprofits with education materials designed to mobilize and create an informed electorate.
With voter turnout in Cleveland, declining since 1976, the goal of the program is to help reverse the trend and provide voters with essential information necessary to participate in the democratic process.
This program is made possible by The League of Women Voters of Cleveland Educational fund.
How does it work?
Companies or organizations can sign up by calling (216) 781-8375. We will provide FREE nonpartisan voter education materials for the city of Cleveland’s 2010 General Election in November that you can distribute to your employees, customers or constituents. Materials will include:
- Posters
- Voter Resource Sheets
- Voter “Key Cards” with important dates and facts
- Nonpartisan Voters Guides
- “A History of the Black Vote” brochure
- Voter Information Center cards
You can make the materials available in any way you choose. You can even host a voter awareness campaign or a voter registration drive. We will be happy to assist you and design a campaign that suits your needs!
